Why is vitamin B1 important?

B1? You mean B12? Nope!

Let's talk about how vitamin B1 can help our body function properly.

vitamin B1, or Thiamine, is a water soluble vitamin that helps (along with other B vitamins) the body use carbohydrates, fats, and proteins and convert them into energy. It also helps with nerves, muscles, and the heart. B1 helps in bringing electrolytes in and out of your cells. As mentioned before, B1 is very important in strengthening the nerves in our body, allowing for better brain function.

B1 may also help with: stress and anxiety through the boosting of the immune system, motion sickness, nightmares, digestion through the production of stomach acid, and restless legs.

A diet high in carbohydrates, sugar or alcohol can lead to a vitamin B1 deficiency. Deficiencies in B1 can cause things like: restless energy, loss of reflexes, swelling in the calves, and numbness or tingling in the hands.

As said before, B1 is a water soluble vitamin. Because of this, some foods that contain B1 can lose this essential vitamin through cooking processes such as boiling. A good way to get your recommended dose of B1 is by drinking 1 oz of Kyani Sunrise which contains 3 mg of B1! That covers all the B1 you'll need for the day.

Along with B1, Kyani Sunrise contains other vital B vitamins as well as vitamin C and tons of antioxidants. This could be exactly what you need to get back on track!

This is a great video by Dr. Berg explaining what your body will experience without enough B1.
