Why Why Why

"He who has a "why" to live, can bear with almost any "how"."

We all have goals, dreams, and ideas. A lot of the time, they stay just like that; in our head, in our heart, and left until tomorrow. I think that usually these dreams end up never coming true because we are afraid to start, or we just don't know how. I also think that if we really tried hard enough, if we gave it everything we had, if we decided not to let fear stop us, we would be able to reach those goals and live those dreams.

Recently, I started thinking about some of my life's goals and dreams. I'd like to share some of those with you:

- To be able to visit our family in Argentina whenever we want.

-To get a second car

-To be able to leave the grocery store without that sinking feeling that I spent too much money on food and household items

-To be able to give money or help to others in serious need

-To buy a nice house for my husband's parents in a safe neighborhood

-To work from home with my husband

to reach any of these goals we need something .... $$$$$$$$$

I feel like most things in life would be so much easier if I just had billions of dollars! I'm sure you've found yourself thinking the same thing. Now, I don't think that money is the key to happiness and I truly believe that we should be grateful for the things that we have and especially live within our means.

BUT

Isn't it okay to try and make more money? Isn't it a worthy goal to find a way to help others with your financial blessings? I think so.

I'm a stay at home mom, I've got a two year old and a 6 month old. I've devoted myself to being a mother and because of that, I can't go out and get a "regular" job. I have a couple of hours in the afternoon when my son takes his nap to work on some "me" things. Recently, I was introduced to a stay at home job that just really makes sense to me. Now, when you read the next words I'm sure you're going to roll your eyes or laugh out loud or run and hide in your closet:

NETWORK MARKETING!

Have you ever had an experience with network marketing before? Did you have a positive experience or a negative one? Have you ever bought products from a network marketing company? Did you like them? Do you know someone who is in a network marketing company? What is your opinion of the industry?

I think most people would say that they have worked in a network marketing company for a few months, they didn't make any money, and they felt that the whole experience was negative. A lot of companies have truly amazing products, but others seem to be a pure scam. This is very unfortunate because there are so many companies and products that are real, genuine, and could bless your life.

I started working with a network marketing company whose founders give all of their earnings back to a charity project that they run. This company is focused on helping people get off of medications and feel healthier. They are interested in helping people like me get a second car, pay off a house, and go for their dreams. I truly believe that all of this is true. I believe that the product is high quality, that it helps so many people, and that almost everyone needs it.

Now, I didn't think all of these things at first. I thought to myself: "Yeah right, there is no way these people wouldn't take a profit from this business. NO WAY." but, it ended up being true! I have seen how much this charity project means to the founders and how happy it makes them to be able to serve and help others. I wasn't sure that ANYONE could make money in this business. There are so many network marketing companies that make it extremely difficult to make money. I work with one that gives 53% to the distributors, that gives you credit within your business for getting charity donations, and have seen an incredible amount of people earn a paid-for car. After working with people who love this company with their whole heart and soul, I am realizing that there is something very special in this company.

I have also thought a lot about network marketing in general and how it really is a good business model. I'm not a business person by any means, but this is why I think it works:

First, you have a product that you think is amazing and you want to market it to other people. You could pay tons of money on advertising, commercials, social media etc. OR you could have people pay YOU to sell it. They will try the product, and if they like it, they will tell their friends and family about it. The system duplicates. Then, every sale that you make won't be from your own blood, sweat, and tears. These sales will happen with or without you. Because of social media, network marketing makes so much sense because it's basically just sharing a product that you like, but you earn money for doing it.

I have also learned that there are two ways to do a network marketing business. The first way is the way that most people think of where they join a company, get all excited for a month, and then when they aren't suddenly making a million dollars they quit and say it was a terrible company and impossible to succeed. Another way of doing it is to commit full on. Plan on spending a few years in the company. Treat it like a real business. Learn how to talk to people about your product without bothering people, without being insensitive, and without creating a bad name for your company. Believe in it. And believe in YOU.

I'm still working on that second way. I have chosen to be a network marketing lady. Some days I feel great about that, and some days I feel a little embarrassed because of the amount of people who assume I will fail. It's been hard to feel the rejection and the cautionary words from people I care about. I've made mistakes and annoyed people or come across as being less than genuine. As in any business, it takes time and effort. And of course a lot of failure. When I think about giving up, there are a few things that keep me in the game:

First, when you look at my network marketing business, it doesn't cost me a thing if I don't show up and work it today. I can take a whole month off and the only thing that will happen is that I will miss out on a month of opportunity. Someone with a brick and mortar small business HAS to show up EVERY DAY and work their butt off or they'll drown in a sea of debt. Every day costs them money. Their business could not work if they weren't there. And, on top of it all they give EVERYTHING to this business... heart, soul, money, etc. In a network marketing business, I spent a little money to start, I buy the products because I like them, and have a few other little expenses like training conferences etc. Overall, the costs of running a network marketing business are extremely small. But, the opportunity to gain money is astronomical. AND, on top of that, once you've got a successful organization going, you don't have to spend 24/7 slaving away. The business will still make you money when you go on vacation, when you take a few hours off to spend with your family, or when you need to take a sick day. To me, it sounds like something that is worth working hard for.

The second thing that keeps me plugging along in this industry is thinking about that list of goals and dreams that I talked about in the beginning. When I see my husband come home from a job that he hates. When I get the travel bug and look at prices for plane tickets online. When I think about the fact that my kids haven't even met half of their family because we don't have enough money to go visit. I keep doing it because I want more for my life and for my family. I want to be successful at something. I want to help other people with this great product!

and, why not me?

who says I can't be successful at something that I work hard at?
